Enterprise Settings

Application-wide settings can be changed in the Enterprise Settings feature.

The Enterprise Settings feature has two panes. The Available Settings pane lists categories of settings that can be changed. The Details pane lists the settings in a category.

 

 

List of Available Categories

  • Home Dashboard: Displays a list of dashboards that are be assigned by default to the user’s Home Page. Each user may change the Home Dashboards with User Settings. For more information, see [Home documentation].
  • Infrastructure Explorer: Changes settings for the different elements of Explorer and Device Preview panes. For more information, see [Infrastructure Explorer documentation].
  • Data Center Tree View: Changes settings for hiding/unhiding physical locations that do not contain equipment. For more information, see [Infrastructure Explorer documentation].
  • Background and Font Colors: Changes the background color of Explorer panes as well as the color and font settings for alerts.
  • Device Library: Changes settings for Library searches.
  • Inventory: Changes settings on models and asset IDs for devices in the Inventory menu.
  • General: Changes settings for guest access, measurement units, date and time, tip of the day, internet, rack provisioning values and dimensions, default cable lengths and login session parameters.
  • Power: Sets how to calculate the real-time power value for the rack, from the PDU values or by aggregating mounted devices, and what percentages to use when de-rating different types of devices.
  • File Extensions: Enables file extensions recognized for upload in the application.
  • Device Classification: Helps define device classification groups based on available device Entities.
  • Alerts: Defines Criteria for various Alerts and tolerance values for real-time power and temperature changes.
  • Change Management: Enables or disables the different change management modes: Quick Change, Staging Mode, Audit Mode and Plan Mode.
  • Connectivity Management: Enables or disables Power Connectivity validation features in NetZoom.
  • Intel Properties: Sets which Intel DCM data properties are viewable and the corresponding NetZoom property name. Not available in NetZoom SaaS.
  • vGateway Properties: Sets which Intel vGateway data properties are viewable and their new labels. Not available in NetZoom SaaS.
  • Audit Property Collection: Enables properties that should participate in Audit.
  • What can be Disabled: Enables or disables special features such as: Integrations, Change Management Modes, Connectivity, Server Controls and SQL features. 
  • Installations: Shows information on the Licensee Company and installation of NetZoom.

 

Changing Settings

  1. To change settings, select the category you want to change in the Available Settings pane.
  2. Make changes in the Details pane.
  3. Click the [SAVE] button to save changes (where applicable).
