Context dashboards are dashboards that display data for a specific node in NetZoom. For example, you may want to create dashboard that displays power usage for a single device, or one that displays the amount of devices in a specified location. Context dashboard templates are created when a Context Type is selected.

Context dashboards for specific device node, locations or processes in the data center can be created using QA: Dashboards where the quick action is available.

  1. To create a context dashboard, select the node you want to create a dashboard for in the Explorer pane.

  1. Click QA: Dashboard. The Create Dashboard form will pop up.

  1. Fill out the form. The following fields are available.
  • Name: the name of the dashboard.
  • Dashboard Template: This drop-down list displays dashboard templates with context relevant to the selected node. For example, if you select a rack, this will list dashboard templates with the “Rack” and “Device” contexts. Select the dashboard template you want to use here. This determines the look and feel of your dashboard.
  • Select Feature: A list of features that the selected dashboard template is applied to. Check [X] the features where you want this dashboard to appear. This list shows all the features where the dashboard has been authorized with the feature Administration/Dashboards and Analytics/Dashboards/Authorize Dashboards
  1. Click the [SAVE] button to save your dashboard. The context dashboard will be created and you will notice it appear on the checked features when you navigate to them.

You can create as many context dashboards as you require. Multiple different dashboard templates can be used on a single node, and a dashboard template can create context dashboards for multiple nodes.
