DISCOVERY AND MONITORING
NetZoom uses targeted, agentless discovery protocols for its discovery and monitoring features. Network discovery in NetZoom instantly identifies and maps network assets by discovering key data such as IP address, MAC address, and manufacturer information for each device in the network using one or more discovery methods: SNMP, SNMPv3, Port scan, NetBIOS, WMI, DNS, and MAC Address. Network administrators can find this useful for documenting their network and monitoring the network’s status. With Discovery and Monitoring powered by Intel DCM, you can discover, monitor, and manage real-time power and thermal metrics across your data center using protocols such as IPMI, SNMP, SSH, and WSMAN.
For more information on setting up and using Discovery and Monitoring, see [Discovery and Monitoring document].
Be aware: These features are not available in the SaaS version of NetZoom.
