SITES, BRANCHES, HUTS AND INTER-SITE CONNECTIVITY IN NETZOOM

A Site is a location where data center assets and infrastructure are located. Huts are physical structures, typically small buildings, which house the infrastructure needed to facilitate long-distance inter-site connectivity. A branch is typically a location where several devices are installed, but not enough to be considered a full site, such as a retail store, a bank branch or a data closet.  When two data centers or branches are connected over a long distance, they may employ the use of huts along the way. NetZoom offers features to model and manage sites, huts, and branches, as well as map the connections between them.
